REHNOVA Passfill — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-23 · Free browser extension

REHNOVA Passfill (“the Extension”) is a local password generator and credential vault. It generates strong passwords, can remember logins you choose to save, and can fill them on return visits. It is designed so that your data never leaves your device through this extension.

Data we collect

Vault contents never leave your device through this extension. On first install, the extension may send a public +1 install count (no passwords, usernames, sites, or personal identifiers) via a free counter service.

Data stored on your device

Storage uses the browser extension storage API (chrome.storage.local / equivalent). When you enable the master lock, credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and a key derived via PBKDF2-SHA256 (310,000 iterations). Your master passphrase is never written to disk.

Permissions

The Extension does not read page content for advertising or sell access to third parties.

Network

The Extension does not transmit credentials, history, or vault contents to REHNOVA or any third party. Websites you visit remain separate; filling a password only writes into form fields on that page at your action or confirmed autofill.

Backups

Export/import is user-initiated. Encrypted exports require your master passphrase. Plaintext exports (if master lock is off) are your responsibility to protect.

Children

The Extension is not directed at children under 13.

Copyright

REHNOVA Passfill is proprietary software © REHNOVA. Free personal use is allowed under the LICENSE shipped with the package. Redistribution or rebranding is not allowed without written permission.
